Our family and friends have heard this story, but for those of you who haven't yet here we go... Kevin and I attended Covington Middle School back in 2006-2009. We had friends in common, but never spoke to each other. He insists that I was too cool for him, LOL. Truth is we were both too shy to speak to one another and only knew of each other from a distance in the hallways. We honestly don't remember having one conversation with each other. Did we think we would be getting married to each other 10+ years later? Of course not! Kevin ended up going to Bowie High School and The University of Texas, while I attended Crockett High School and then Texas State University. He graduated with a Bachelor's in Mathematics and I graduated with a Bachelor's in Business. After 10 years, I popped up in Kevin's "People You May Know" feed on Instagram. Kevin decided to reach out to me through Instagram and his catch phrase was, "Are you still that sweet girl I once knew of back in middle school?" Long story short, I mentioned I only wanted to be friends from the very beginning... little did I know Kevin would win me over and ask me to marry him on September 14, 2019. I am so glad he didn't give up on me when I friend-zoned him and the rest is history! :)
