We met at Incline Public House on the day Sophia got dumped. In hopes of cheering her up (and stopping the tears), Sophia's mom sent her to visit her sister, Maddie, at work. Maddie strategically asked Kevin to drop something off at Sophia's table. As Kevin walked back in, he told Maddie how beautiful her sister was, catching her off-guard—Sophia was covered in snot and tears! Shortly after, Sophia began working at Incline, and the two of us quickly became close friends. After a year of "will-they, won’t-they," we officially started dating, and the rest is history.

After three wonderful years together, Kevin knew it was time to ask Sophia to be his wife. However, with Sophia’s knack for sniffing out surprises (and the help of modern technology), he realized he needed to craft a plan that would completely throw her off the scent. So, Kevin enlisted the help of Maddie, Marlie, and Sydni. On a seemingly ordinary Wednesday—while Kevin was supposedly at work—the three girls took Sophia out for lunch and drinks. To make the story believable, Kevin left his phone at work and even had a coworker send her a text from his number to further the ruse. The plan was in motion. Later, the girls suggested a spontaneous stop at Ault Park to "watch the airplanes take off from Lunken" as they waited for a fake apartment tour. Little did Sophia know, this was where the real surprise was waiting. As they arrived at the park, there stood Kevin, ring in hand. He dropped to one knee and asked Sophia to marry him.
