Flight
Travel Note
There are no direct flights from LAX to Hanoi, but 1-stop routes are the most recommended. ⭐ Most Popular & Reliable Options 1: LAX → Tokyo (NRT/HND) → Hanoi (HAN) Airlines: ANA, Japan Airlines 2:LAX → Seoul (ICN) → Hanoi (HAN) Airlines: Korean Air, Asiana 3: LAX → Taipei (TPE) → Hanoi (HAN) Airlines: We especially recommend Starlux for this route 4: LAX → Hong Kong (HKG) → Hanoi (HAN) Airlines: Cathay Pacific ⏱️ Travel Time Total journey: approximately 18–22 hours, depending on route and layover Layovers: typically 2–4 hours Some return flights offer 12-hour layovers in Japan or Korea, which can be a great opportunity to explore the city before heading back to the U.S. 🧳 Helpful Tips 1. Check visa requirements for Vietnam before booking. Vietnam visas are very easy to obtain and can be completed about 2 weeks before travel (approximately $65). 2. We recommend arriving at least 2–3 days before the wedding events to rest, adjust to the time difference, and get a chance to explore 💕 (Hanoi is 14 hours ahead of the U.S) 3. October weather in Hanoi is mild with occasional rain, so pack light layers. Autumn is one of Hanoi’s most beautiful seasons—you’ll love it as much as I do 🤍.
