The Mission Inn Festival of Lights
If you have an extra night in Riverside, we encourage you to check out the Mission Inn Festival of Lights! The exterior of the historic Mission Inn will be decorated with gorgeous Christmas Light displays, which can be toured for free! The Festival will run through January 7th, 2024.
Mount Roubidoux Walk/Hike
Mt. Roubidoux trail is a Riverside staple for those seeking an outdoor activity! The top of the trail offers panoramic views of the city. Fun fact: this was one of Kevin and Lizzy's early dates! If you are interested in walking the trail, we encourage you to park in the Ryan Bonaminio Park parking lot (address listed above) and walk down San Andreas Drive to the trailhead. UCR Botanical Gardens
Feel free to spend some time exploring the beautiful botanical gardens on the UC Riverside campus, open Mon-Fri 8:00am-3:30pm. There is no entrance fee for the gardens, but there is a suggested donation of $5. Parking must be paid for as well.
March Field Air Museum
The March Field Air museum is a great spot to view numerous different types of aircraft and could be a fun activity to check out in the area! The museum is open Tue-Sun and an admission fee must be paid to enter the museum.
California Citrus State Historic Park
Swing by the California Citrus State Historic Park and stroll through the citrus groves of Riverside. There may even be a citrus tasting at the visitor's center! (See link for parking fee details).
Arcade Coffee Roasters - The Bakehouse
One of numerous Arcade Coffee locations that offers excellent coffee and gourmet food/bakery items. Highly recommended by the locals!
Condron Coffee
If you're looking for a fun coffee spot to pass the time, check out Condron Coffee (AKA Lizzy's favorite coffee shop in Riverside).
Molinos Coffee
Another Riverside classic coffee shop located in the heart of the Downtown Riverside area. Stop by for a cozy cup of coffee on a cold winter winter day!
Greek Street Grill
Great Greek Food in the La Sierra area of Riverside! Kevin took Lizzy here on their 3rd date (It was also Lizzy’s birthday weekend... ask them about that story!)
Tio's Tacos
If you're wanting to explore some unique, original art while enjoying delicious Mexican-style food, this is the restaurant for you! Also located in the downtown Riverside area, it would be a perfect lunch spot after a Mt. Rubidoux hike or a cup of Molinos coffee.
Georgie's Mediterranean Cuisine
This is another one of Kevin and Lizzy's favorite food spots! (Yet another birthday celebration took place here!) This restaurant is also located in the same shopping center as Arcade Coffee Roasters... so feel free to try them both in one trip!
Anchos Southwest Grill & Bar
A restaurant loved by Riverside locals, Anchos is definitely worth a try! Another restaurant date-spot of Lizzy + Kevin. We highly recommend the steak fajitas!
