We're getting married!

Based on the current global situation we know things are a bit uncertain. We understand you may have concerns about travel and large events. Our invitations were printed before stay at home orders began but we decided to go ahead and send them in hopes that it would bring some joy to mailboxes. It may feel too soon to tell what events will look like by August, so we have extended our RSVP deadline from May 1 to June 1. However, we encourage our guests to give us the yes or no as soon as they can!

Kevin and Katy met the first weekend of the fall 2016 semester at a concert in the Tumbleweed Dancehall, his sophomore and her freshman year at Oklahoma State. He was with a group of fraternity brothers and one who knew Katy from FFA flagged her down to visit with the group. That semester Kevin and Katy would see each other at social events and he always impressed her with his smooth two-stepping skills but nothing ever came from it. The next year Katy had made a comment on one of Kevin's Snapchat stories, which got the two reconnected. After a month and a half of non-stop chatting, a first date and a few movie nights at FarmHouse, Kevin took Katy ice skating on December 2, 2017, where he asked her to be his girlfriend.

Kevin told Katy the day before that they had been long overdue for a date night. She knew something was off when he requested to eat at 4:30 p.m. that Friday. When dinner was over Kevin was not quick to find something else to do so they headed towards Kevin's house to watch a movie and kill time before they met up with friends on the Strip. On the way to his house, Kevin mentioned there was a shirt he wanted Katy to look at in the OSU Student Union Bookstore. As they headed that way, Kevin adequately requested they park further away and walk through Theta Pond. On the other side of the bridge was a beautiful arrangement of pictures of the two together, lights, a Bible with Katy Strait stamped on it and a chalk board that read, "here's to the Straits." Katy was quick to figure out what was going on. He then got down on one knew and asked her the easiest question. A photographer who had been waiting nearby captured the moment and the following feelings of bliss. Afterwards, they went to Katy's house, to her surprise once again with their dearest friends waiting to celebrate.
