This was the first stop on our first date (which was on national donut day!) It's also a couple blocks away from where Kevin lived when we started dating.
This was stop two on our first date! Be sure to try the Monkey Punch. ;)
We love the collections and sculpture garden at the VMFA. Go check out the Egyptian relief wall that Kevin touched with his very own hand (we do not recommend touching the art).
Head down to the Belle Isle bridge for a great view of downtown and the James River! The bridge was a part of Anita's favorite running route. On the way, you'll pass Browns Island, the finish line for the Richmond marathon.
One of the RVA breweries we love! Come here for a Choosy Mother peanut butter stout. The Scotts Addition area has a ton of great new breweries all within walking distance. Others that we love are Three Notch'd, Strangeways, Väsen, Veil, and Hardywood. Check out as many as you can while you're here!
Another brewery, Legend gets an honorable mention because it's one of the OG Richmond breweries, and it's blocks away from Anita’s last bachelorette pad before moving to Alexandria with Kevin!
A must-see while you're in town! Anita won a poker tournament at New York Deli, where she worked during the summer Kevin and Anita met. We also loved brunching at The Daily Kitchen, catching a movie at the Byrd for as low as $4 a ticket, and shopping at Clementine consignment boutique (at least Anita did).
If you’re staying at the Hilton or Wingate, grab dinner where Anita was the hostess with the mostest for two years! But if you don’t make a reservation, there will be no tables for parties of 4 or more between 5:45 and 8:15. For the full experience, grab a drink at Bar Louie after.
Head to Shyndigz for out-of-this-world desserts! You could catch us there with a slice of cake and a bottle of wine on any of their Wine Down Wednesdays.
Visit Mellow Mushroom for some of the best pizza you’ve ever had and the psychedelic ambiance. We loved winning trivia there on Monday nights!
