Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will be taking our vows within the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony in the Catholic Church with a full Mass. Please be respectful and arrive about 15 minutes prior to the ceremony so you have time to visit and find your seat. We will do our part to be ready to go too! Cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres at Letitia Pate Evans Hall will begin at 5:00 PM with dinner and dancing following shortly afterwards.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We'll be celebrating in our best outfits (black tie optional) and invite you to do the same! Time to break out of the COVID sweatpants and PARTY!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We will be serving a buffet dinner with a variety of menu selections that should satisfy most dietary restrictions. However, if you are especially concerned, please reach out and we'll work with our vendors to make sure we have a menu option that will work for you.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Round trip transportation will be provided from the Decatur hotels to the church around 1:20 PM. The church ceremony will likely end around 3:00 so we invite you to enjoy time in downtown Decatur or take a rest at the hotels in between the ceremony and the cocktail hour/dinner. You can catch a ride from the hotels to the reception around 4:45 PM.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking at the church and there is guest surface parking lots and decks near the reception venue. Please be considerate and reserve the surface lot closest to the venue for guests that may need easier access. We also encourage you to use the shuttle at the hotels or a rideshare to stay safe while you party with us!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We know weddings are a whirlwind and it can be difficult to spend all the time we want with everyone we love. So we will also be having a Welcome Party after the rehearsal dinner Friday night before the wedding so we can have extra time to see everyone!
