It is a 2 hour drive from Sydney and 20 minutes from the nearest township of Blackheath in the Blue Mountains.
Once your accommodation is booked, we would recommend driving to make the most of exploring the Blue Mountains. The Blue Mountains are approximately an hour and a half drive from Sydney, while the venue is 2 hours. You can also get a train as there are stations at most of the towns in the area.
Yes, there is plenty of room to park at the venue if you decide to drive there. However, we will be organising a bus shuttle to pick-up and drop-off from 4 locations in the area. Please see this information under the 'Travel' tab.
Please arrive at 3 PM on Friday 30th January to socialise and enjoy some drinks before the ceremony starts at 3:30 PM. A bus shuttle has been arranged to pick-up guests from various locations (see travel tab). The timetable and details have also been shared under this tab.
Bus 1 1: 50 PM - Katoomba train station: Please meet on Goldsmith Place under the awning of the Gear Inn. 2:00 PM - The Hydro Majestic Hotel: Please meet at the front of the 'Boiler House'. 2:10 PM - Kyah Hotel: Please meet at the driveway entrance to the property on Valley View Road. 2:35 PM - Werriberri Cottage (Megalong Valley): Please meet at the driveway entrance to the cottage and Megalong Valley Road. Bus 2 2:10 PM - New Ivanhoe Hotel: Please meet at the bus stop on the corner of Bundarra Street and the Great Western Highway, opposite New Ivanhoe Hotel. 2:45 PM - Redledge (Megalong Valley): Please meet at the driveway entrance to the property on Aspinall Road. 2:50 PM - Glenbarry (Megalong Valley): Please meet at the driveway entrance to the property on Aspinall Road.
The evening will finish at 11 PM. The bus shuttle will arrive around 10:30 PM, ready for departure at 11 PM.
All food and drinks will be supplied (alcoholic drinks included). We've catered for roaming canapés, a sit-down shared style feast, and unlimited drinks. The wine will be supplied by the venue's very own vineyard. We want to wine and dine our nearest and dearest :)
Everything at the venue will be paid for, along with the shuttle bus. We have canapés, a sit down dinner, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks catered for. The only thing you will need to pay for is your accommodation.
Yes! There will be a DJ and a little dance area so we can get our groove on and dance the night away.
We've decided that we would prefer to keep this wedding as intimate as possible, so we won't be inviting any plus ones. Sorry!
When we say 'responsible' drinking, we refer to the enjoyment of alcoholic drinks that do not harm others and minimise the risk of harm to yourself. We all want to have fun so know your limits and drink in moderation. There are plenty of non-alcoholic drinks and food to allow you to enjoy the night for longer.
