**Our Love Story** Our journey together began at a place that holds a lot of memories for us both: his mom’s beauty salon, "Girl Talk Hair Salon." We crossed paths there, and although we didn’t officially meet until years later, we couldn’t help but notice each other from the start. His mom was our biggest cheerleader, often encouraging him to talk to me. Finally, at the washing bowl with my hair all over my head, he gathered the courage to ask for my number. Over the years, our connection grew stronger, even if most of our time was spent on FaceTime. We discovered how much we had in common and shared countless late-night conversations, getting to know each other better. Recently, we made a beautiful memory by sharing a trip with his family to honor his loving grandmother. This past year has been a turning point for us. By taking our time and communicating every day, our love has deepened, and we've come to realize that God brought us together for a reason. Devin’s proposal was a moment I'll never forget. He suggested we invite our families to dinner at Juicy Crab Bar and Grill in Mesquite, which I thought was just a chance for them to meet. When he told me the food was about to arrive and suggested I wash my hands, I didn’t think much of it. But as I returned to the table, I was greeted with a "Will you marry me" sign. Of course, I said yes! I couldn’t help but tease him that he should have waited until my nails were done. Now, as we look ahead, we’re most excited about starting our lives together. After knowing each other for over 20 years, we’ve both matured in ways that have led us to this moment. It’s clear now that everything we’ve been through was preparing us for this future together. We’re so grateful that God’s plan brought us to be each other’s person for a lifetime.
