We were both trudging through the weeds of online dating when we stumbled across each other's profile on Bumble. Two right swipes and a clumsy opening line later, we fell into conversation like old friends. On June 12th we met in person for the first time over enough chicken parm to feed a family of nine and cannoli, and the rest is history!
He had been very excited over a "Christmas gift" he had purchased when he was away in Massachusetts on a job training, and made a point to stop by my mom's to get her involved in exacerbating my lack of patience (Turns out, it was mainly to get her approval!). His original plan was to propose either Christmas Eve or during our excursion to the Holiday Lights show at Roger Williams Zoo. Thankfully, Rich is more impatient than me, and after a normal Sunday of waking up, eating breakfast, and spending the day tackling all our errands together, I walked into our room to find him down on one knee. I'm sure he said lovely things, but I only remember hugs, some tears, and an exasperated "Will you just look at the ring already?!" before saying "yes!"
I have always, *always* wanted a fall wedding, and I have been in love with The Pavilion for years. Rich has always just wanted me to be happy, and we both knew we did not want a multi-year engagement. We were able to tour the venue shortly after Thanksgiving, where they presented us with a few dates for the Fall wedding season. After some discussion, we selected the earlier date in the hopes of warmer weather conditions, and some New England fall foliage. We are so excited to celebrate the next chapter of our lives with you. See you at The Pavilion!
