Evan and Ketrin wouldn’t say it was love at first sight, it took them 4 years to realize there was something there. Their mutual friend Allie, better know as Merk, pulled Ketrin to Evan’s apartment for a party. Many wouldn’t expect a college boys apartment to be very put together but the innovation was spectacular, the way they repurposed beer cases as wallpaper – you would think this place was sponsored by Coors. Ketrin quickly learned Evan was a dedicated ISU basketball fan and in that moment that is when they became friends. They would spend their days at ISU waiting outside for games (strictly as friends) or would kill some time and study at the library (strictly as friends). Since Evan was a few years older than Ketrin, he graduated earlier and moved back to MPLS. A few years go by and Evan reached out to Ketrin to grab lunch one day. Both of them thought they were going to simply meet and catch up on life. Cute, right? The lunch was great and they caught up, but after leaving, Ketrin immediately called her friend Merk to tell her all about it. “Merk, Evan is kinda really cute…but don’t tell him, I want him to reach out.” Merk reassured Ketrin that she would not tell him but she was a liar liar pants on fire and texted Evan immediately. Ketrin and Evan went on a couple dates, trying to figure out if there was something more to this friendship and their was. Ketrin eventually met all of Evan’s 300 Eagan friends (Go Wildcats!) and Evan met all of Ketrin’s besties. The friend zone quickly ended and Ketrin and Evan fell in love. There is so much that has happened the last 5 years and to tell you all of the adventures would take forever. Simply put, they have spent the last few years traveling, eating, buying a house, adopting a dog (Ted) and planning their wedding. Their friends and family mean the world to them, they couldn’t be more grateful and appreciative to spend this day celebrating their love with them. With love, The Kvittems
