We first met online through the mobile app Bumble. Despite our different backgrounds, we shared a lot of important things in common, including similar outlooks on life, tastes in TV, love for the outdoors, and -- of course -- humor. After multiple enjoyable chats, we decided to go on our first date. The restaurant wasn't much to speak of, but both Williams Park and The Old Monk were a fun way to spend the afternoon. Daisy wasn't sure what to make of this John guy at first, but she appreciated his initiative, and so accepted his offer for a second date...And a third...And a fourth...And now look at that: We're getting married! Well, we didn't move that quickly. Before anything, John had to get Luna the dog's approval. Then, we had to meet each other's fams! And of course, we had to have a bunch of fun together, including trips to some of the coolest places in the country, like the Rocky Mountains. ...But we're missing one crucial thing, aren't we? The Proposal John's original plan involved a surprise pop-up picnic by the lake view, flowers, photographer, etc. Pretty Hallmarky, all-around. Unfortunately, the weather was disagreeable, and so he had to shelve the plan for another day... ...But did he shelve the proposal? NO WAY, JOSE! The rest of the afternoon would be spent trying to find an even better moment to pop the question. From going to one of our favorite retaurants, to making a sunset drive by Winfrey Point, we basically had a greatest hits of White Rock. However, each moment just kept feeling off. Evening came, and as luck would have it, Daisy's brother David came into town for a lights tour at Fair Park. This conveniently brought us to some of the prettiest Christmas displays in town, including the enormous lit tree at Klyde Warren. John then enlisted David's help as photographer, and with a bit of engineering, got the group to the park. And when all other passers-by had cleared out...It happened! One Last Message Thank you so much for sharing our special day with us. It means the world and makes this amazing moment all the more exciting. But please, please, please remember to HAVE LOTS OF FUN! Nos conocimos por primera vez en línea a través de la aplicación móvil Bumble.
