In 2023, Kaitlin learned that she would be getting a new office-mate at work. Not only that, she was very annoyed that she would have to train "the new guy" when she really is not a rule follower herself. We were just work friends for quite some time before we actually went on a date...because William, "would never date a coworker"..... challenge accepted. It wasn't long before Kaitlin realized she had a crush on the new guy and suddenly started arranging "after work drinks" with coworkers as often as possible. We officially became everyone's favorite work couple on February 13th, 2024. William quickly learned the joys (and pains) of being a parent and jumped on board graciously and more than willingly. It was evident that Jaylen and William were going to get along just fine. Through meeting each other's families, to traveling, to moving, buying a home, changing jobs and all the other joys in life, we formed our own little family. We are so grateful for everyone supporting us and being a part of this beautiful journey. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!
Kaitlin and I first met in the summer of 2023 when we were assigned a joint office at work. From the start of our professional relationship things were wonderful, we had similar styles and energy in our work; we learned a lot from each other. It was not long before I would feel a glimpse of excitement every time I would pull into the parking lot to see her car, or disappointment when she would have a busy day. Those bursts of excitement quickly turned into butterflies when Kaitlin sent a risky text to her coworker asking if I shared her feelings. We decided to test the waters in this high stakes scenario, and we went on our first date in December of that year. The following February we found ourselves in a relationship. Just before we starting dating, I met her son Jaylen. He had recently turned seven years old, and was the same bundle of energy and joy he is today. We quickly grew close, and I soon realized that I was feeling a connection with not just Kaitlin, but Jaylen as well. From the very beginning, I felt loved, welcomed, and one of the family. I am so excited to officially label my chosen family as my own, and share our unique love with all of you at our wedding. I hope you feel the love that we share on our special day, as we will choose each other forever.
The first time I met Will was when I was seven years old and I hid from him and spied on him to see what he was like. When I finally got caught, I greeted him like a normal dude and then went to the kitchen and whipped out a bag of Jolly Ranchers. Next thing I know... he's making me do chores. The End.
