Jacob convinced me that he had to go into work, even though it was his day off and I was not happy with it, because we were suppose to spend the whole day together. He asked me if I would take him, and I told him no, luckily for me he convinced me it was a good idea. So as I was driving him to work I was complaining the whole time about how it was unfair they were making him work on his day off, and when we got to Red Lobster he asked me to park in back so that he could put his apron on before he went in. As he got out of the car He said "I forgot to grab my name tag out of the middle console, will you grab it for me?" I reached in and grabbed the name tag (not realizing it has an engagement ring attached) and when i turned around to hand it to him, he was down on one knee and he said "marry me". Honestly I've been waiting so long for this moment I thought to myself this has to be a trick, so I jumped up out of my seat yelling "is this real?!?!" He stood up and said "of course it's real babe", I was so shocked I made him get back down on his knee and ask me again. Thrilled and crying of course my answer was yes! He got back into the car (because he didn't really get called in to work) and I was so excited I probably made him repeat the "will you marry me" line 100 times. Red Lobster may not seem like the most romantic place to propose, but Jacob and I have worked there together for 5 years now and it is where we met. It was the perfect place, the perfect proposal, and the perfect man!
