In 2012, KeShawn and G met while working at Dollar Tree where they became work buddies. After KeShawn went back to school to finish up her senior year in college, her and G lost contact with one another. Fast forward to the fall of 2015, KeShawn and G reconnected over Twitter. G asked KeShawn out on a date where they shared good laughs and food. It was a year later in 2016, the day after G’s birthday when KeShawn and G officially decided to become a couple.
G and KeShawn had plenty of conversations about getting married one day because they both knew God led them together. On the day of the proposal, December 23rd, 2018 KeShawn noticed that G was acting nervous and unlike himself on their way to “dinner”. When they got about 15 minutes away, G phoned his friend and asked KeShawn if she wanted to go see the Christmas Tree at the Harbor. “Of course” she said. So they parked the car and began walking to the area where the tree was. As they get to the tree, it lights up and KeShawn notices her family, G’s family and their friends all lined up around this Christmas tree. She immediately started crying because she knew “this was it!” G walked her down to the front of the tree, got down on one knee and popped the question. Once she said yes, everyone cheered as they celebrated with their family and friends.
