It's a love story, baby, just say "Yes"

We first met in 2007, that's right, about fourteen years ago. It all began when one of my best friends Ashley started talking to Mason on instant messenger (before texting was a thing) he was neighbors with one of our best friends. Since Ashley and I were inseparable during our high school years Mason quickly learned who I was. We exchanged screen names and instantly became great friends talking every single night. After many months of talking we became official and started dating on May 24, 2008. This relationship lasted about a year before we went our separate ways… soon after on November 22, 2010 we began dating again, the rest has been written in the stars.

Mason and I went away to a little cabin in Weston, Vermont for our 9-year anniversary. We had the coziest weekend away cooking in the tiny kitchen, snowboarding and snuggling on the coach for a movie with some hot chocolate. We were getting ready to go out for our anniversary dinner when we decided to take a peek at the stars; the cabin had the perfect spot for viewing on top of a big rock with two chairs. The stars were shining brighter than you can ever see here in Massachusetts it was truly magical. As we are gazing and talking about how beautiful the night sky is I hear Mason take a deep breath and say, "Well, I don't know how to do this but..." he gets down on one knee and pulls out the most beautiful ring, which of course I couldn't see at the time because tears instantly started streaming down my face and it was very dark out. I cried for some amount of time and we continued to have a near perfect moment under the stars. We prolonged this amazing moment with a romantic dinner and of course got celebratory nachos!

We are getting married at The River Club on November 20, 2021! It's a special time of year because it falls on the weekend of our 11 year anniversary; 11 years of love and the start of a new chapter for the both of us.
