Our Story
Kersten and Kyle's story began when they met freshman year of high school after being assigned seats next to each other in Biology class. They quickly became friends, both secretly crushing on each other but never confessing. Seven years later, the timing was finally right. They crossed paths again when Kersten was a senior at UNC Charlotte and Kyle a junior at App State. They spent weekends traveling between Charlotte and Boone. After two and a half years of dating, Kyle asked Kersten to marry him during a trip in Sorrento, Italy.
The couple shares a love for travel, having visited five countries and six states together over the past three years. When they’re not planning their next trip, they enjoy being at home, spending time with their labs, Ryder and Reece. Most weekends are often dedicated to football — even though it’s a house divided (Go Eagles). Recently, the couple settled into their home in Kernersville, where they live with their dogs and their two cats, Maxi and Millie.
