We love to be out and about in Memphis! Below is a list of some of our favorite things.

Memphis Farmers Market

This has local farmers and vendors and is usually open from about 9am-2pm. We love to go there on Saturday mornings.

This has local farmers and vendors and is usually open from about 9am-2pm. We love to go there on Saturday mornings. We highly recommend the tamales if you need a snack!

Memphis World Championship Barbecue Fest at Liberty Park

This is one of our very favorite food festivals in Memphis! We highly recommend checking it out on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday before the reception.

This is an incredible indoor space in Memphis filled with restaurants. We went on our first date here! We had drinks at "Art Bar" and we highly recommend it.

Overton Park

Taylor and I used to play grass volleyball here in the greenspace. It has a great park for kids and some trails if you need some outdoor time!

Tom Lee Park

If you are staying downtown, this is a great park for kids and has some trails alongside the Mississippi River.

Old Dominick Distillery

This is where we got engaged! They have a great rooftop space and inexpensive tours!

Shelby Farms Park

This is the largest urban park in the US! It is a bit of a drive so we recommend having a car. It has a great playground and tons of trails. We went on a very casual first date to get to know one another.

Stax Museum of American Soul Music

This is a great museum to learn about the blues. Sarah taught her first year at the school connected to this museum.

National Civil Rights Museum

A must see in Memphis.

Earnestine and Hazel’s

We love listening to live music here! Best soul burgers, best live music, and go upstairs if want to see the coolest party of Memphis.

Lafayette's Music Room

They have great live music! They are centrally located and have good shrimp and grits.

This has a fun rooftop bar that is in the heart of Midtown. Make sure to make a reservation.
