Curly or waffle fries? Yes, that’s the hook that reeled Kerry in. After breaking the dating app ice, Sean and Kerry went on their first date, touring Sean’s favorite neighborhood spots in Northern Liberties. Then, without any fear of appearing clingy, the two went on several more dates later that same week. From that first date forward, the two established themselves as pretty much inseparable.

Three years earlier, Sean and Kerry found a new favorite hobby — exploring NJ shore towns. Among their favorites was Barnegat, NJ, home to a crabbing pier that Sean frequented long ago with his grandfather. Just six months into their relationship, Sean and Kerry half-jokingly declared that they would one day buy a condo next to that pier to retire with their future dog. Fast forward to February 2023. The couple set off on a drive to the old crabbing pier where Kerry recalled "that's our retirement condo!" This transitioned nicely into Sean's speech about spending a life together. Excitedly, he proposed, and she, of course, said yes.
