We anticipate warm, summery weather. The ceremony will take place outdoors with the reception indoors, both at Hotel Ballast. We recommend Garden Party attire but mostly want you to be comfortable and ready for dancing!
The ceremony will take begin at 4:25 PM. It is an urban venue so please give yourself plenty of time to allow for parking.
The Hotel has two rather large pay-to-park lots. If you are staying at the hotel, they will give you a discounted day rate! There are surrounding unaffiliated parking lots directly across the street. There are also metered spots along North Water Street. If you are coming directly from Wilmington International Airport, Hotel Ballast has a direct shuttle bus which can pick you up from the airport as well!
Your little ones are just as important to us as you are! While we ask that children do not attend the ceremonies (other than our four VIP bridal party members), we will be providing on-site childcare. Two highly skilled professional educators will be in a separate hospitality suite at the venue carefully watching over guest children. Activities and food will be provided. Please let us know the name, age, dietary restrictions, and any other important details about your child so that we can secure all proper accommodations!
If your wedding invitation included a Plus-One, yes, please bring them! We are thrilled to meet them! If it did not, we ask that you refrain from bringing an additional guest. Reach out to us separately if you have any questions. If there is space, we'll see what we can do!
Have you met us? Of course there will be! The Bar will be closed for one hour during our first dance and through toasts (although a champagne toast will be included), so fill up those drinks, tip your bartenders, and enjoy!
Nope! We will have a buffet-style dinner as well as hors d'oeuvre during cocktail hour. Feel free to come hungry (but not hangry)!
