The Wedding Website of Kerry Corridan and Martin Bryan

Travel Note

General Information

The local currency is the Barbados dollar, though USD is accepted island-wide. $2 BDS=$1 USD. Menu prices are typically listed in BDS and are tax-inclusive. Restaurants may include a 10-12% gratuity as listed - depending on the level of service I typically increase to 15%-20%. It's recommended to have some cash on hand as most taxis and some local souvenir shops are cash-only, and at bars/restaurants cash tips are greatly appreciated.

Travel Note

Taxis

Taxis are readily available at the airport and rates are set - expect to pay about $25 USD from the airport to the South Coast (a few dollars tip would be appreciated). Drivers accept cash only (USD is accepted island-wide; $2 BDS=$1 USD). Outside of airport origin, taxis in Barbados are not equipped with onboard meters and rides vary in cost depending on the distance - be sure to inquire about cost upfront. Alternatively, you may download pickUP, the local version of Uber (Uber does not exist in Barbados) which accepts card payments. For a list of local taxi companies, please visit https://www.visitbarbados.org/your-stay/get-around-the-island/taxi-services?pageindex=1.

Travel Note

Immigration Form

Travellers may complete the online Immigration and Customs Form which will be available 72 hours prior to your arrival. Fill in the form at a time and place convenient for you. Once the form is completed, the Immigration and Customs receipts should be saved to your mobile device or printed, for presentation to Immigration and Customs upon arrival. If you do not have an opportunity to complete the Immigration Form prior to arrival, you may use one of the in-airport kiosks instead.

Rental Car

Drive-A-Matic

Christ Church, Barbados

There are many car rental options in Barbados - I have had consistently good experiences with Drive-A-Matic. Another good option is Stoutes Car Rental: https://www.stoutescar.com/
