Where is Wellesley?

Answer

Wellesley is a cute college town in the western suburbs of Boston, one town over from where Kerry grew up in Needham and about half an hour outside downtown Boston. For more detailed information about how to get to our wedding, please see the Travel & Accommodations page.

Question

What do I wear?

Answer

The wedding day is cocktail attire. The ceremony and cocktail hour right afterwards are outdoors in the gardens weather permitting, so dress accordingly as it could be quite warm! The reception is inside an air conditioned building on the property. Welcome drinks the evening before are low key: wear casual dresses, slacks and nice tops, collared shirts, etc but certainly no gowns or suit jackets needed. Nice jeans are also totally acceptable.

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

There is a large parking lot at the wedding venue for those who wish to drive.

Can I bring my children?

Answer

While we love your little ones (and Kerry has likely tried to steal yours on numerous occasions), unless they are in the wedding party we request that this be a kids-free event. We can help make suggestions for local childcare if needed.

I have dietary restrictions. What can I eat?

Answer

Please let us know of any dietary restrictions or food allergies ahead of time so we can do our best to accommodate you. Of the 3 meal selections, both the salmon and chicken are gluten free, the salmon is also dairy free, and the pasta is vegetarian. Should we stay in Boston or the suburbs?

Answer

We recommend out-of-towners stay in Boston to take advantage of everything the city has to offer. The wedding venue is about 30-minutes from Boston. There will be drinks in the city the night before the wedding and the after-party will be there as well. Transportation will be provided between the Hotel Commonwealth in Boston to and from the venue. For those wishing to stay closer to the venue, we have rooms blocked at Hotel Indigo in Newton, MA.
