we can't wait to party with you!

We met in our first month of our first semester of our first year at Creighton. Robert exaggerated his love of Modest Mouse to impress me (after I told him some cool facts about wombats), but it backfired on him when I invited him to a loud British indie pop concert. He stuck it out and even offered me his flannel shirt on the chilly walk back to campus. The rest, as we know, is history

As the years went by, we grew as individuals and as a couple. Through four years of undergrad, moving to New York City and then back to Omaha after two years, adopting a dog together, and the regular ups and downs of any relationship, we weathered everything together, strengthening the other when we could, and leaning on their shoulder when we needed to. It truly feels as though one of us picks up where the other left off. When Robert proposed in February 2019, it wasn't a surprise but rather a "FINALLY!"
