For those who know us, it makes perfect sense that we met on a softball field. I had no idea who this person was, in fact, I didn't even know his real name! Everyone at the time just called him "Big Country". Our first interaction wouldn't be what you call "love at first sight" by any means. I was a tad bit hungover from a wedding the night before, and Mark's first words to me were "Do you need a Gatorade? I have an extra one and you look like you need it." Again, for those who know Mark, this makes perfect sense. From there, all it took was a Facebook request from me, and a message from him, and we haven't stopped talking since!

It was Christmas morning and we began opening our presents. When I went to open my last gift, I noticed it was an ornament. I was struggling to get the ornament opened, not knowing that Mark was down on one knee for a good minute (whoops). When I finally realized the ornament was an engagement ring, it hit me what was happening. I looked up (finally) and saw him down on one knee, and that's when he asked me to marry him. It was truly the happiest day of my life.
