Question

Do I need to get tested for COVID-19 prior to the wedding?

Answer

Yes. If not fully vaccinated 14 days prior to the event, New York state is currently requiring guests to have a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event or a negative rapid test within 6 hours of the event. Please refer to the New York State website for further information.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

The ceremony will end around 3:30 pm and the cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 pm. The drive between St. Dominic and Bridgeview Yacht Club is approximately 45 minutes. We suggest going to check into the hotel in between the ceremony and cocktail hour. We ask family members to show up to Bridgeview Yacht Club around 4:45 pm for pictures. Once you arrive, you will be greeted and brought to the bridal suite. If family members are not staying at a hotel, you may go straight to Bridgeview Yacht Club following the ceremony. Once you arrive, you will be brought to the bridal suite until family pictures begin.

Is there public transportation near the reception?

Answer

Yes! The reception is about a 5 minute drive from the LIRR Long Beach train station and approximately 35-40 minutes from the JFK airport.

What is there to do on Sunday?

Answer

Because it will be a Sunday over the summer (well, technically spring), we highly recommend going to the beach! If you stay at the Allegria Hotel, it is right on the water. The Long Beach Hotel is two blocks from the beach. The Hampton Inn is about a 15-20 minute drive to the beach. It is around $10/person to get access to the beach. Aside from the beach, Long Beach is a cute little town with shops and restaurants if you don't want to head home right away!
