Stay were you like there are plenty of options in SD.
Hotels near or in the Gaslamp District are closer to the venue. Listed below are a few of them. 

There are many more places to stay. If you would like to stay at the beach we recommend Mission Beach or Pacific Beach.

For cheaper options look at Hotel Circle but please realizes Ubers can get expensive on weekends.
