SOUNDTRACK SNEAK PEAK

Follow the link below to get familiar with original music from the groom (!!), the band, and some of our favorite artists

One of the things that fuels our love is our shared love of great music. We're so excited to have Johnny Delaware, Wolfgang Zimmerman, Christian Chidester, and Kevin Early providing the soundtrack to our day! Each of these incredible musicians play in different Charleston bands and are coming together for the occasion. We frequent their shows and are so excited to share a glimpse of the magic! https://open.spotify.com/playlist/74l1xgXweNfENmqMQJnlXV?si=753371ef5c8e4f9e

Our Story

Cameron and I have known each other since we met in the spring of 2012 at the College of Charleston. That spring semester was filled with friends and fun, and Cam’s joyful spirit was a standout. From that semester, we had our separate lives but would run into each other around town from time to time, always welcoming each other’s smiles and spirits in these chance encounters. In the Fall of 2019, I popped into a coffee shop after a yoga class and found Cameron and his cousin Jake sipping coffee and recovering after a late night of concert dancing downtown. I had been trying to get a consistent group of people together for weekly volleyball and knowing Cam was a PE Teacher, asked if he’d be interested. From there Volleyball Wednesdays were birthed. We played religiously every Wednesday with two other friends until the pandemic hit. When the pandemic hit, Cam went back up to Connecticut to teach sailing and I split to New York to spend time with my family. We had briefly texted over the summer, and Cam expressed interest in learning how to surf and I wanted to learn how to sail. We both returned to Charleston in August of 2020 and got straight back to business playing volleyball and Cam started joining my cousin Alexis and I for sunrise surf sessions. Spending so much of his life on the water, Cam was hooked! So there it was - we were sand rats surfing together by day and Cam's love and enthusiasm for local music had us dancing at concerts together by night. The best of friends! The day after our first surf session together, Cam sent me a voice recording from his phone of “Go, Go, Go” - the first of many many songs to come. Naturally, this became my and Alexis's surfing anthem, and a few weeks later when Cam brought his beach guitar to play it for us, we passionately sang along to every word. When my cousin left for “class” Cameron played me another song he had written over the summer, “Let It Shine.” As he sang each verse, I started to see my old friend Cameron in a new light. Listening to that song will forever bring me so much joy and gratitude for our friendship turned more. After a couple of months bonding over fun in the sun and music, we came to realize what so many of our friends had already plainly seen coming for months. Cameron spilt the beans after a concert one night in October, and we have been dancing to the rhythm of life together ever since. We can’t wait to celebrate love with all the people WE love and cherish the most in the world! SO GET YOUR DANCIN' SHOES READY PEOPLE!
