Where We’re Staying We’ll be staying at a resort that owns its own private island—Flamingo Island. As guests, we’ll enjoy complimentary boat rides to this exclusive paradise, where the famous pink flamingos roam freely on a pristine beach. Even if you don’t book at our resort, you can still visit Flamingo Island by purchasing a day pass, but these are limited and tend to sell out quickly. Aruba is a small island—only about a 45-minute drive from top to bottom—so no matter where you stay, you’re never too far from the action. The choice really comes down to personal preference: whether you want a laid-back atmosphere or the convenience of stepping right onto the lively Palm Beach Strip. Aruba is also well-known for its beautiful Airbnbs, which are a great alternative if you prefer a more private or home-like experience.
