The great location on the water means great views but it also means crowds, call ahead if you can. 60+ craft beers, pub fare and because of its location you can drink a beer standing in both NH and VT at the same time!
Look closely you might miss it on the road. It's less than a half mile walk to the front steps of Madame Sherri mansion. Even if the parking lot is packed there are plenty of trails so things aren't too crowded. There's a moderate loop with a beautiful pond view.
Great gift shop. Nice staff. Prices are somewhat reasonable, which is rare for a gift shop. If they are still sampling the cinnamon pear jam, be sure to try it. Also, ice cream, maple lollipops and Joe's Tea are available, which is pretty great.
Brattleboro is the artistic and energetic hub for Southern Vermont. Coming from every direction, miles of mountain roads converge in our lively & eclectic downtown. Cafes, galleries, live music, breweries, museums, boutiques, an Art Deco movie theater, a Food Coop, and fantastic dining options.
