Wedding Party

The Wedding Website of Allison Kernan and Eric Follett
Meet our family and friends who fill some big roles and are walking down the aisle with us!

Jen Lord

Maid of Honor

"This is my favorite story to tell! I met Jen in Stamford, CT at a time in our lives that we both needed a true friend. I had offered Jen a ride home and as I dropped her off, we began chatting away. Jen immediately empathized with my situation at the time and shared her own similar experiences. Jen says she will never forget the way I shifted my entire body language, shocked as I discovered how much alike we really were. From that moment on, we have been inseparable. Do not seat us together if you need us to pay attention and be serious! Jen has been instrumental in supporting my mental health and I credit my wellness to having Jen on my support team. We got an apartment and lived together for two years before I moved in with Eric. At our apartment, we had two cats, Pebbles and Bam Bam. Pebb went with me and Bammie went with Jen, but we still have shared custody."

Alan Stewart Jr.

Best Man

"Alan is my oldest and dearest friend as we met on the 1 st day of Kindergarten. Alan started heckling me for wearing “tighty whiteys” and we immediately became friends. Over our 30 years of friendship, we have watched each other grow and with it the strength of the bond of our friendship. It is almost difficult to describe it as a friendship as each member of his family is an extension of my own!"

Kristina Murphy

Bridesmaid

"Kristina is Eric's sister and has become a partner in crime in my life too! Our crew can be often caught at Phish shows together, beachin' it in Narragansett, RI, or gathering together with family in our backyards. I have always wanted a sister and my dream has now come true! Kristina is the INCREDIBLE mother of the Ring Bearer, Henrik, and daughter Maia. She is my go-to person for positivity, encouraging affirmations, and spur of the moment adventures. Please leave us be when we sneak off together during family events hehe"

Patrick Murphy

Groomsman

"I first heard Patrick’s name after my sister would not stop talking about this new guy that she met and how amazing he was. It was becoming evident that I needed to check this situation out. I first discovered that he is from North Platte, NE and is a huge Cornhusker fan which was not a good start. I decided to not hold that against him and discovered that my sister was correct. A marriage and two kids later, I could not be happier to call him my brother."

Liz Reynolds

Bridesmaid

"Liz is my cousin and had me as her flower girl in her wedding! Liz is the mom to bridesmaids Elise and Ella, and son AJ. Since I was a child, I have aspired to be just like Liz and it still stands true today. Liz has been my go-to person for love, acceptance, a good laugh, and definitely some mutual eye rolls! When Liz asked me to be Ella's Godmother, little did she know what purpose that would give me, especially during the challenging and devastating moments in my life. Just as I was an important role in Liz's wedding, now it's Liz's turn to serve a special role in my big day!"

Ryan Rich

Groomsman

"Ryan and I have been close friends for 25 years and have been on countless journeys together. Many of them included a long drive followed by a 3-day concert somewhere in the US. Ryan is someone I have always been able to count on since I met him, no matter what the situation is, where it is, or what time it is. Ryan’s unwavering support and loyalty to his loved ones is something I have always admired about him and one of the many reasons he will be standing with me on 9/2/2023!"

Elise Margewicz

Bridesmaid

"Elise is Liz’s daughter and Ella’s sister. To make things easier - Elise and I are cousins! I had the privilege of babysitting Elise and she would even say she wanted to be called ‘Ally’! Elise stole my heart the second she was born and has been instrumental in my life. Elise is my motivation to persevere through challenging moments and her humor reminds me to spend time laughing. Elise is hilarious, compassionate, smart, and is quick to help the people she loves. I will never forget the time that Elise said she wanted to be like me when she grew up because in reality, I want to be just like her!"

Gary Kuhn

Groomsman

"Gary and I first became friends during middle school when he first started frequenting the Stewart household. We both became honorary members of the Stewart family as kids which in turn made us family. Gary and I ended up becoming roommates in our adult life and ended up living together for 7 years! Beat that Chuck and Larry! We thought about filing for a civil union much to the chagrin of our families. Before we could finalize this deal, I found the love of my life and Gary found a great opportunity in Austin, TX which ended those futile hopes."

Ella Margewicz

Bridesmaid

"Ella is my Goddaughter! There is a powerful story behind this picture. It was a time in my life that I craved purpose and meaning, and little did Ella know that she would be a big influence of finding that. Ella is brilliant, ambitious, and has a heart of gold. I knew Eric was for sure ‘the one’ when Ella, Elise, and brother AJ convinced Eric and I to sneak(break) into our vaca resort’s pool after hours(sorry Liz and Tom!)! We played hours of games and rode bicycles together afterwards. Ella is always down for a fun time and we couldn’t be more proud of the young woman she is becoming!"

Will Saviano

Groomsman

" 'Savi' and I have been close friends for two decades. Our friendship started with a mutual love for the New York Yankees which included many Saturday afternoons and weekday night trips to Yankee Stadium and the Bodega. Savi and I were roommates for 4 years which is when we went from friends to family. You can always count on Will to have your back."

Rachel Mary

Bridesmaid

"Rachel and I worked together in behavioral health at Recovery Network of Programs. We connected by sharing the same background, same passions, and same future goals. Together, we are known to fiercely advocate for people receiving behavioral health treatment and support. Rachel will go to the ends of the earth to help anyone in need! Rachel’s daughter, Tarra, is often kidnapped by Eric and me and known to swim in the pool with Lola, cuddle with Pebbles, and devour whole pizzas. Rachel is an incredible mom, friend, student, and advocate. If you need something done, she’s your resource broker!"

Brian Morris

Groomsman

"Brian and I met while both working in the Behavioral Health field at Recovery Network of Programs. Brian was working at a small apartment program on Seaview Avenue in Bridgeport that most in the organization were not even aware existed, except maybe the Quality guy. Over time we struck up a friendship which includes many afternoon visits to the golf course straight from work. On a beautiful weekday summer afternoon, you can usually spot both of us running out of our respective offices around 4:30 with golf shoes on!"

Olivia DeGennaro

Bridesmaid

"Olivia and I worked together on a project that is CT’s leading statewide virtual wellness community for all youth and young adults. Within seconds of meeting each other, we told our life stories, struggles, and victories. We were instantly connected and were attached at the hip! Olivia is now a 2nd grade teacher and works tirelessly to provide a safe, diverse, and nurturing environment for her kids. Olivia has a calming presence that has helped me fight through several mental health struggles. Not only does she bring peace into my life, but she brings laughter, joy, and empathy. I can always count on her to show up wholeheartedly for me!"

Michael Price

Groomsman

"Mike and I first met in middle school when Mike had rode his bike across town with a friend of his to see a girl, who was a close friend and neighbor of mine. An immediate turf war ensued. A year later, when I moved across town just a block away from where Mike lived, we immediately became close friends. You could usually count on one of us to throw a party during each weekend of high school. Mike and I coincidentally both attended the University of Colorado for our undergraduate degrees where we lived together for a few years and became even closer friends."

Henrik Murphy

Ring Bearer

Henrik is Eric’s nephew and Godson, and Patrick and Kristina’s son. Henrik is our best pal and we love watching all of his big moments in life and learning new things! One thing he’s learned from Uncle Eric and Auntie Ally is how to gargle, make louder fart and burp sounds, sneak veggies to Lola, and many more fun things! Henrik is known for giving the best compliments, always including everyone, and having the funniest sayings. He knows good music, practices meditation, and knows all about the moon (and Pebble’s adventures to them!). Henrik will steal your heart on the big day, but he’s had ours for some time!

Ivy Guglielmo

Flower Girl

Ivy is Eric’s cousin, Melissa (and Barry!)’s, daughter! We keep it simple: Eric’s cousin! Ivy is the only girl allowed to be cuter than the bride, and she will certainly capture your heart the way she has ours! Ivy is known for her beautiful eyes and precious giggle. Eric is known to be caught laying on the floor with Ivy and Henrik and allowing him to be their human climbing device. Whether Eric is flipping her upside down, or Ally is having a tea party, we are always down for a good time!

Michael Massa

Officiant

Michael is Ally’s step dad and has been instrumental in Ally’s life. He is also known as “Stinky/Stinky Kitty”, “DD”, and “Dad2”. We suggest you ask him how he got those nicknames and you’ll have to guess who gave them to him! Michael has been Ally’s source of empowerment, strength, direction, and safety. Michael is known for his hilarious jokes, kind spirit, epic dance moves, and cruisin’ on his motorcycle.

Kevin Kernan

“The Queen's Guard”

Kevin is Ally’s only sibling and best pal. He has been Ally’s go-to person for protection, laughter, empathy, and guidance. Kevin is kind, compassionate, humorous, and super smart! These two are known to wander off together, make inside jokes, have deep discussions, and help someone in need. Ally has always looked up to her big brother and still tries to be just like him. They have survived hardships, fueled each other’s resiliency, and learned to always find the positive in every situation.
