We will be continuing to monitor the status of the pandemic as our wedding draws near. As for now, we are requesting that everyone who attends please be vaccinated per CDC guidelines. We love you and want everyone to be as safe as possible. If you are unwilling or unable to be vaccinated, we request that you please obtain a negative COVID test. The ceremony will be outdoors, and the reception will be indoors/outdoors with open airflow. Masks will be provided. If you're feeling unwell or have any possible symptoms, keep us in the loop regarding your RSVP. Most importantly, please take care of yourself and make the safest decision for you.
Dear family & friends, The difficulty of this past year has made us even more grateful to be able to gather and celebrate our love with the ones who matter most to us. While we eloped on our original date (10/10/2020), we decided to save the big celebration until it was safe to do it with all of you. We appreciate your understanding and support, and we look forward to seeing you soon! Love, Rachel & Tyler
Tyler planned a whole evening of exploring historic St. Augustine starting with watching the sunset at the lighthouse. Rachel arrived to Tyler's apartment (super early!), and Tyler made Rachel drive. Rachel immediately said she didn't want to climb the lighthouse (because she didn't want to get sweaty). They walked around the base of the lighthouse then had a night out in downtown St. Augustine.
Tyler and Rachel met at a community mental health center where Rachel was working and Tyler was interning. Tyler kept going to Rachel's work area to ask for office supplies (even though Tyler had plenty of staplers and hole punchers), but Rachel was still surprised when Tyler asked her out for a date.
Tyler was visiting Rachel in Virginia (Rachel had just moved for her new job, and Tyler was still living in Orlando). Rachel planned a trip to a winery, telling Tyler she won a tasting coupon at work. Upon arriving to the winery, Rachel and Tyler saw the manager taking photos outside (she was actually sending photos to Rachel's mom!!). Tyler and Rachel completed the tasting when the employee presented an additional bottle of wine. Rachel created a custom label to propose!! Tyler's first response was "It has my name on it!!" To which Rachel replied, "Keep reading." The rest is history!
We want to express our sincerest thanks and gratitude for all the love and support we have received since the beginning of our relationship. We are so excited to share this special moment with loved ones who mean so much to us!
