Our first encounter happened on Easter in 2022 at a family friend’s house. Just before Keri arrived, Sean was apparently about to leave. But then Keri walked in wearing a gold dress and cowgirl boots and instantly perked up a country boy’s spirits. Sean was sitting in the middle of the garage in a lawn chair with a beer in his hand, and smiles were exchanged. Little did anyone know, tiny cupids were already at work that day. What started with a small introduction quickly turned into a few stolen glances, quiet smirks, and just a little karaoke. Upon leaving, Sean asked Keri’s sister for her phone number, which was respectfully declined. He then asked for her Instagram and, as some would say, slid into her DMs. After that day, God placed them on separate paths in life that would slowly intertwine over the span of months, continuously bringing them back together. Between random run-ins and Sean persistently asking Keri out almost every weekend for months on end, their story kept unfolding little by little. Then one December day, with Christmas just around the corner, Keri invited Sean to “Santa Paws” at Loflin Yard in Memphis, Tennessee for Christmas festivities. That was the day Sean met Odin, who would later become their dog — and with a little holiday magic and a lot of God’s timing, little did they know that from that moment forward, their story would one day lead them to becoming husband and wife. 🤍
