Answer

We found it very affordable to rent cars from the airport in Calgary on our trip. One thing to be mindful of is the weather could be iffy in March so a 4 wheel drive/SUV might be best. There are also no laws requiring snow tires to be on rental cars in Alberta.

Answer

When Keri and I originally booked this wedding West Jet was offering direct flights. Unfortunately they have paired back and are now only offering these flights during the summer months. We are hopeful they will re-introduce them but I would not count on it unfortunately.

Currently the USD to CAD exchange rate is providing ~ a 25% discount in our favor for the rates you're seeing in CAD. One thing to keep in mind is to look at your credit cards to see what their exchange policies are. Some cards will charge a fee (~3%) for using it in Canada where some travel cards do not charge anything for this feature (Chase Sapphire Reserve). It may be best to pull CAD cash out from an ATM when you arrive to avoid this fee.
