It’s Happening!

Jack and Keri met in Murphys, Ca, on a beautiful summer day in the middle of June. Jack makes wine and also works in a local tasting room on the weekends. Keri was going to Murphys for a concert at one of the local venues and was headed to grab a bite to eat before the concert with her friends and sister. They had decided to stop at one of the tasting rooms quickly before their reservation. Jacks friend had asked him to help pour wine in her tasting room that day thinking it might be busy. Out of the kindness of his heart he agreed and as he was pouring for people a few girls walked into the very tasting room. The girls were sampling wine with one of the employees when Jack quietly asked to switch. Jack and Keri saw each other right away and Keri said, “you’re eyes are beautiful” and Jack told her the same. They continued to talk and there was definitely chemistry going on between the two. Jack had his hand in his pocket and was about to pull out his business card to give to Keri when she said thank you and left the tasting room. They both were wondering why they hadn’t said something more, Jack ran out the door to find her but she was already gone. Keri was telling her sister as they left that she thought he was so handsome and hopefully she would see him again. Her sister decided to turn around and give Jack a number to reach Keri. The next day, on her birthday, she received a text, “Hi Keri, this is Jack the wine guy.” And honestly the rest is history! We are so very blessed to have found each other and know that it wasn’t by chance, but that God knew what He was doing. We were both at a place in our lives where we had been waiting for that special someone and June 14, 2015 was that beautiful day when we found each other

Jack proposed to Keri in the beautiful Carmel Mission Basilica. He had been nervous since he woke up that morning and was waiting for the perfect time to present itself. Jack knew where he wanted to propose, had the ring and was ready until they arrived at the Mission. They walked around and he spotted a bench with beautiful jasmine flowers nearby. Keri had an idea of his plans because he had a hard time keeping a secret. She could tell he was about ready to do something when a group of school kids walked by and he lost his nerve. They continued taking in the scenery and walked up to a large fountain in the middle of the courtyard and Jack mentioned how beautiful wedding pictures would be in the courtyard, Keri agreed and at that moment he bent down and asked her to marry him!
