I never thought much of him honestly, just a well-known guy at school with a runny nose. I vividly remember when we returned to school our 8th grade year saying to myself "D'Vaungh slimmed down". Little did I know sitting in class he would pass me a note asking me out. I immediately stuffed the note in my pocket and after class told him "let's talk". Because, honestly who just randomly asks someone out??? To be clear I DID NOT LIKE HIM! AND he was dating the school bully when he asked me out, but I didn't know that at the time lol. (Left home to be with his sidepiece) However, after countless late-night conversations, running my cell phone bill up to $1,000 and about 3 months later I agreed to be his girlfriend. Best decision ever. It hasn't been perfect, but it is so worth it! Love you always Pep.

So we actually went on our first date two weeks before we officially started dating. My church had a Valentine's Day banquet for couples and I asked her if she would go with me. Man, I remember the deacons being so happy I had a date they let us go through the serving line first. At the end of the night we were waiting in the breeze way of the church gym for her mama to come pick us up. I made a pit stop by the water fountain and as I leaned in to grab a swig I whispered " give me a kiss" before I knew it she gave me the quickest little peck. Man, I was on top of the world that night. Ahh good times.
