Question

Should I get travel insurance?

Answer

Yes, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip. As this is a destination wedding, travel insurance can help protect you in the event of unexpected changes, natural disasters, delays, or emergencies. It’s a small step that offers peace of mind — just in case.

Question

What travel documents do I need to visit Grenada?

Answer

If you're travelling from the UK or the US, you'll need a valid passport with at least six months’ validity from your date of entry. No visa is required for stays under 90 days. Be sure to check that your passport is up to date and in good condition before you travel. Pro tip: Keep a printed and digital copy of your passport and travel details, just in case.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

The wedding venue, Bay House, has accommodation available, but priority will be given to the bride, family, and wedding party so if you are interested in staying at the venue please advise as soon as possible. We’ve also listed a range of great nearby options under the Accommodations tab. Many of these are located 5-10 minutes away from the venue, making it easy and convenient to get to all the celebrations.

Question

What’s the weather like in Grenada in April?

Answer

April in Grenada is warm, sunny, and breezy — one of the best times to visit! It’s the tail end of the dry season, so you can expect mostly clear skies with average daytime temperatures around 28–31°C (82–88°F). Evenings are comfortably cooler, so pack light, breathable clothing — and don’t forget your sunscreen.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

Each event has its own vibe and dress code: Thursday – Tying the Roots + Rhythm: African inspired attire Friday – Flag Fête: Casual and festive — shorts, tees, trainers & your flag! Saturday – Wedding Day: Island Elegance — bold, bright rainbow-inspired colours Generally, pack a gorgeous Caribbean wardrobe with loose and comfortable clothing, enough swimwear, comfortable footwear, trainers, and long pants if you're prone to mosquito bites, sun hats, and repellent, and a hand-held fan.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

You're welcome to travel with your family, but unfortunately, we won't be able to accommodate children at the ceremony or reception. To help you plan, we’ll share some trusted childcare options on the island.

Question

What currency is used in Grenada, and how much should I budget?

Answer

Grenada uses the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD), but US dollars (USD) are also widely accepted across the island. ATMs are available, and major credit/debit cards are accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops. For a 5-day stay, a general budget might look like: Meals & drinks: EC$50–100/day (USD $18–37), depending on where you eat (local spots vs. restaurants) Transportation: EC$15–30/day (USD $6–11) for buses or taxis Activities/Excursions: EC$150–300 total (USD $55–110), depending on what you do We recommend budgeting around EC$800–1000 (USD $300–370) per person for spending money, not including accommodation or flights. Of course, this can vary based on your travel style — whether you’re a beach bum, foodie, or adventure-seeker!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue, is there parking available?

Answer

Please note there is no parking available at the wedding venue. We encourage guests to use local taxis or shared transport to get to and from the events. We’ll be recommending some trusted taxi operators and shuttle services closer to the date to help make your travel easy and stress-free. Stay tuned!
