One of our favorite brunch spots, in the middle of super popular South Congress Ave. Mimosas and Pimm's Cups are a must, as is strolling the street to window shop.

Justine's

One of our go-to spots for an impromptu dinner. Classic French cooking paired with the laid back, eclectic vibe East Austin is known for. Great for people watching.

Odd Duck

A favorite of ours for birthdays or anniversaries, Odd Duck is a farm-to-table, modern take on Texas cuisine. Always surprising and consistently amazing. Reservations recommended.

Incredible late night pizza spot, made "Detroit style". That means deep dish, tons of caramelized cheese, and no regrets.

Jo's Coffee

An Austin institution, and famous for their Iced Turbo - a supercharged coffee and chocolate concoction that is highly addicting. Both their downtown and South Congress locations are great.

Hotel San José

Inspiring boutique hotel in the middle of South Congress. Their patio happy hour can't be beat – be sure to order a Frozé, a frozen rosé.

South Congress Hotel

Absolutely beautiful on the inside, this newer hotel's giant lobby has lots of comfortable furniture, quiet corners, and an excellent food and beverage menu.

Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar

Unlike any other movie theater in the country, Austin-based Alamo Drafthouse has a full food and beverage menu where you are served throughout the film. One of the things that makes our city so great to live in.

Yellow Jacket Social Club

One of the hottest bars in East Austin, this is one of our regular spots. Great drinks, great food and interesting conversations everywhere you turn.

Elephant Room

Right off of Austin's legendary 6th St bar district, the Elephant Room is the oldest jazz club in the city. It's vibrant and bouncing every night of the week.

If you're interested in the latest vinyl records, good local gifts, or want get a snapshot of Austin's one-of-a-kind music scene, Waterloo Records is a great place to start.

The Contemporary Austin - Jones Center

Stubb's

Right in the middle of Austin's Red River cultural district (which is lined with great bars and music venues) is Stubb's - they serve pretty good barbecue and have concerts almost every day of the year.

Mohawk Austin

Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World, and the Mohawk is one of a handful of venues that lives up to that name. Every day of the year expect incredible music, from local bands to famous international acts.

Hike and Bike Trail

If fresh air and exercise is on your list, the Hike & Bike Trail is a must. Take in beautiful views of downtown and Lady Bird Lake while running or jogging along the well-kept pathways.

Zilker Metropolitan Park
