Visit Forest Park

Want to take a walk, run, or find a fun activity? Forrest Park is truly the crown jewel of St. Louis. With over 1,326 acres of land the park contains the History Museum, Art Museum (free entry), St. Louis Zoo (free entry), Boathouse restaurant, and over 30 miles of trails. If the weather is nice you can't beat Forest Park.

For some of the best St. Louis barbeque, visit Pappy's Smokehouse. Located just minutes from SLU, Pappy's is a St. Louis classic. The Food Network even named their ribs the best in America. A word of advice: they sell out daily, so don't wait too long to get there!

Visit The Foundry Food Hall

Located just south of SLU’s campus The Foundry is a new addition to St Louis. A combination of shops and restaurants, The Foundry is a great place to try some unique food and kill an hour.

Get a taste of St Louis’s famous Ted Drews frozen custard

St. Louis can be boiled down to three things: gooey butter cake, toasted ravioli, and Ted Drews. Ted Drews is a family owned custard company opened in St Louis in 1929.

Is it a STL wedding if it doesn't end at McGurks? Join us after the reception to keep the celebration going. The last bus of the evening will make a stop at McGurks before making its final stop at the hotel and we would love for everyone to join us at Soulard's most famous bar!
