Michael and Kira met at Crossfit Explode in February of 2022. Mike and Kira chatted over the months and bonded over having both gone to Henderson High School, (they were a year apart so they didn’t know each other!), watching the Eagles and the Sixers, working out, mutual friends, and what shows they were watching. Eventually on October 29th, 2022 the soon-to-be couple met up for drinks and shortly after had their first official date on November 3rd, 2022. Their official dating anniversary is November 17th, 2022. Some of their favorite memories include decorating gingerbread houses together (a yearly tradition), trying oysters for the first time, going to Penns Woods Winery, riding the rollercoaster on the Ocean City Boardwalk, many rounds of mini golf, sitting 4 rows from the field at the Linc for the Eagles-Dallas game in 2023, charcuterie board picnics at Winterthur, decorating their Christmas tree together every year, playing monopoly, apple picking, doing crafts together, making s’mores at the lake, going to their first concert together (Joywave), making homemade pasta, wine tasting, carving pumpkins, and putting together a yearly bucket list. The couple loves traveling together and enjoy their many trips to the beach and the lake. Over the years have traveled to Jamaica, Savannah, Boston, The Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, and most recently Nashville. The couple plans on honeymooning in St. Lucia. After 2 years of dating, Mike and Kira moved in together on February 15th, 2024. Besides a 2 day power outage after moving, the transition was seamless. A few weeks before the couple’s 3 year anniversary, Mike proposed to Kira on November 2nd, 2025. After a delicious brunch to start the day, Mike drove them to Stroud Preserve for a hike. It was a gorgeous sunny day and Kira just thought they were going out to enjoy the weather. The couple walked around for a while before eventually making it to “the spot” where Mike had a photographer hiding. After looking through polaroids they had taken together over the years, Mike got down on one knee and asked Kira to marry him where she immediately started crying and said YES! Currently Mike and Kira live together in West Chester, PA where they enjoy taking walks around their neighborhood or at the local park, playing boggle and other various board games, tending to their garden in the summer (they especially love growing cherry tomatoes and sugar snap peas), watching their shows, cooking, trying out new restaurants, and getting ice cream together. Both are close with their families and each other’s families and enjoy spending time with them. In the future, Mike and Kira are looking forward to traveling more, buying a house together, getting a pet, and eventually starting a family.
