Since you will be on our side of the mountain, it will be easy to drive up to the top of Sandia Mountain. about 15 minutes up the crest road, and you'll be 10,000 feet above sea level. Be prepared for the high elevation. There is a lookout up there to see ALL of ABQ and BEYOND!
This is a very exciting hike you can take all the way up the mountain, all the way down or both! I think it is like 14 miles long. However, the views are amazing!
When you come to ABQ, you HAVE to take the tram up to the crest of the mountain. The views are absolutely stunning, especially at sunset or night time. You definatley will need a jacket because it may be breezy or cold in April.
You can go to Old Town and learn so much about Abq and the heritage! Very exciting and fun. And BEAUTIFUL
You can take a trip up and down (east and west) central and see The University of New Mexico and other exciting things. It is an original part Route 66!
One of the best places to go in ABQ if you're looking for authentic New Mexican food.
Great place to eat if you're looking for authentic New Mexican food.
If you want a New Mexican favorite you have to go here! Sopapilla burgers! Get them with green chile! Mmmmm so good
While you are cruising down Central Ave. (Route 66), stop at Frontier restaurant. It's and all time Abq favorite. It's been around forever. They are open pretty late and have amazing food and a decent price. It's very exciting to go here you'll see crazy things and people. And you are literally directly across from the UNM campus. It's so fun. You can get New Mexican cuisine or American food. This is a fun place.
This is supposed to be really neat and very cool to do. Its a highway and it makes a tune of music as you drive over it.
This is a super-fast train that will take you from and to Santa Fe in a short amount of time! If you want to go to Meow Wolf and do not have a car, this is a very affordable, and fun option to go with. The train goes straight through the middle of ABQ with lots of interesting things to see. You get off in Downtown Santa Fe and you can either walk around their Old Town and see so much culture or hop on the bus. Or you can even get an uber. This is a very fun thing to d with the family.
