The first time we ever saw each other was in the fall of 2023 when Kenzie started coaching Kelly’s little sister in softball. We saw each other from time to time at games, but never spoke more than a “hey, how are you?” for two years. Finally, Kelly decided to give it a shot and added Kenzie on Snapchat at the end of April 2025. Neither of them reached out for the first 2 days, until Kelly slid up on Kenzie’s gameday post on the last day of her softball career and said “go crazy!!” The next day, Kenzie decided to be bold and ask Kelly if she wanted to meet up with her and her friends at Wild Leap that night. They both showed up, talked about tomatoes, and the rest was history. A little over a month later on June 6, 2025, Kelly asked Kenzie to be her girlfriend. We did long distance for the summer while Kenzie worked out of town, and then medium distance from August to around October while Kenzie was in her first semester of grad school in Auburn. Kenzie and her puppy, Milly, officially moved into the house with Kelly and her pups, Moose and Madduxx, in December of 2025. Fast forward to February 10th, 2026: Kelly proposed to Kenzie in their dining room and it was the most special night ever. About a month later on March 15th, Kenzie proposed back to Kelly on the lawn of their future wedding venue. We are loving the fiancée life, but know we will love the wife life even more.
