Eli and I met while working at Tractor Supply, where I was technically his boss. We got along right away, always joking around during shifts and giving each other a hard time. Our coworkers used to say we’d end up married one day, but we never really thought much of it back then. After I moved for college, we stayed in touch here and there. One day, Eli texted me and told me to come watch him play baseball, saying he’d buy me a milkshake if he got a hit. He got a triple, and we went for that milkshake—and honestly, we haven’t been apart since. What started as an easy friendship at work turned into something that just made sense. There wasn’t some big moment where everything changed; it just felt natural from the start.
