Vashon is a ferry reliant island. There is no way to drive on and off of the island unless you are driving onto a ferry. The ferry ride is a very short but scenic 15 minute cruise.

Ferry Information
The ferry that goes to Vashon begins in West Seattle at the Fauntleroy Ferry Terminal. Attached in the website with the schedule. I've heard of them filling up before so if you are planning on getting over on a weekday, try to avoid going during commuting times. The ferry line in West Seattle can be long and in a lame spot so going at less crazy times is ideal!

Bus Information
For our public transit prince and princesses out there we love you! Vashon does have a bus system with routes, but they don't always have specific bus stopping points. The locals have told us that if you wave at a bus they will pick you up!
