About a 35 minute drive. The bride grew up going here for fun! It is now a staple for the bride and groom when they visit.
From river boat tours, thrift shops, boutiques, trolly rides, food and more you will find it all! We call Stillwater the Hallmark town because it reminds us of a Hallmark movie.
Two Christmas movies were actually filmed here! Enjoy the charm and history of downtown Hudson right across the St. Croix river from Stillwater.
Built in 1872 it is known as the Ivory McKusick house. An established trolley tour stop! It now belongs to the bride's parents. McKusick built his wealth via the lumber industry during the civil war. The St. Croix river that runs through Stillwater was used to float timber down the river during the boom of the logging industry. The industry brought immense wealth to the city which allowed "lumber barons" to build elaborate homes which are still used today. Drive by and check it out!
