We’re getting married!

Joey and I met in 2015 through mutual friends. We attended the same high school but Joey was three years older than me, so we really didn't know each other. My best friends told me about him, and asked me to go to a bonfire, where they knew he would be. I didn't go! My friends told him about me and the next day, he ended up reaching out to me on social media. He asked me out to the movies for our very first date. After a month of casual dates and chatting, we made it official!

Easter of 2021, we had a family gathering planned at my parents' house. We all dressed in our best Easter outfits, and planned a day of festivities - little did I know it included an engagement! After we all finished dinner, we set out on an Easter egg hunt - the winner of the hunt was the one that found the golden egg. I found the golden egg and was so excited to see what my prize was! I opened the egg to find a note that read, "Will you marry me?" I turned to find Joey on one knee with a ring in his hand. I was beyond surprised, and of course said, "YES!" (finally!!)
