We're Getting Married!

This story begins like no other. From one click and a dare, true love and happiness was formed. The Pandemic of 2020 had its challenges but in the midst of all of them, God brought Joyce and Robert together to experience a love like never before. From Robert's perspective, it didn't take him a long time to know that Joyce was the RIB that God had in store for him. From the first conversation he had with her, he instantly felt a completion he had never felt before. Little did he know, Joyce felt the same way. Through the consistency of his selfless love, his kind heart and his peaceful spirit, Joyce knew that Robert was an answered prayer and God's gift to her. Although we do not know what exactly lies ahead, what we do know is that our union is aligned with God's ordained Will. We are excited about spending the rest of our lives together!

After a long work day, Joyce's dad called her to say that he had an opportunity to interview with Oprah virtually the following day and he wanted her and her mom to go with him. Joyce agreed and her parents picked her up the following day and headed to downtown Chicago where the interview was going to take place. As they walked into the London House hotel, Joyce's dad explains that Oprah had planned a big reception and that they would go to the reception before the interview. Taking the elevator, they headed to the 20th floor and approached Suite 2002. Joyce's dad knocked on the door and tells Joyce to walk in first. As she looks at the numerous rose petals and candles on the floor, Joyce begins to think that 'Oprah' had really laid out the red carpet for the reception. But as she turned the corner, she saw Robert standing in his suit and heard music playing in the background. As she started to scream, Robert began to express his love and asked for Joyce's hand in marriage. Thanks to Oprah, it indeed was a night they will never forget!
