Our New Beginning

We met through a mutual friend, Brian Young. Brian, normally a quiet soul who turned out to be very persistent, insisted that Leighton and I meet. Leighton stated he wasn't looking but thanked Brian for thinking of him. So he told me about Leighton, and go figure, I gave the same excuse, 'Thanks but no thanks'. It didn't matter that just at Yom Kippur, two months prior, I declared that YHWH (God) was going to send me a husband. Brian eventually recruited Janice into the mix. Anyone who knows her knows she just doesn't take 'no' for an answer. So, after doing everything short of kidnapping us and taking us to a restaurant or something, Leighton and I were finally convinced to meet each other. One Florida December evening, I got a phone call from a man I did not know and was hesitant to meet. He was so blessed I answered, because I don't usually answer numbers I don't recognize. We talked for just a few minutes on the phone ending with an invitation to a Cricket game. On December 27, 2015 we met at the Cricket field, where he missed playing the second half of his game, because we talked and talked as if we had known each other all our lives. Finally, I met the one who was with me before the beginning began. That was the first day of the rest of my life and we were betrothed on October 23, 2016. Now on September 2, 2018 we get to embark on a journey together as one. Thank you Yahweh! We look forward to celebrating this auspicious day with you and making it a day to remember.
