Kenya is an avid hockey fan (yes, they exist in San Antonio!). She’s a passionate Colorado Avalanche supporter, and the only time she gets to see her team play in person is when they face off against the Dallas Stars at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Amidst the stress of law school, Kenya decided to make a day trip for her very first regular-season Avalanche game. That same day, Hunter was spending time with his dad and friends watching World Cup matches. Hunter’s dad and work friends had tickets to the hockey game that evening and decided to buy Hunter a ticket in a random seat near their row. Out of more than 18,000 seats in the arena, Kenya and Hunter just happened to end up sitting right next to each other—rival fans who ended up on the same team forever.
