Their story began in their 4th year of college at North Dakota State University, when Adrian and Katie lived in the same apartment building (that she managed). Katie was in her 4th year of architecture school, working as the Complex Manager while interning at a local firm and Adrian was in his 4th year of Computer Science. They had mutual friends at the time and had run in the same friend circles, but they were both seeing other people and just doing what they could to survive college. It wasn't until the spring of that year that they began to grow closer, as Adrian began attending Katie's ongoing weekly "Marvel Movie Nights" with their friends and watched through the long list of movies in the MCU. Throughout the rest of that school year, they talked for hours on end about school, life, music preferences, and of course exchanged memes. But when the semester came to an end, Adrian had planned to move back to Sunburg while Katie remained in Fargo. When she heard the news, her heart sank - telling her everything she needed to know. She developed feelings for this guy and couldn't wait for them to be together again. He'll forever hear about his lackluster farewell gesture - that awkward side hug on his way out - but as the weeks went by, it became clear that their friendship had turned into something more. Between visits to Fargo and trips home to see each other, it was actually their friend Alex Eull who broke the ice and led them into their relationship. After a weekend together for the Fargo RibFest, Alex casually asked, "how long has this been a thing?" gesturing between Adrian and Katie. One awkward but sweet conversation later, Adrian and Katie were official, and inseparable ever since. (Thanks Alex!) Since then, life has been a whirlwind of change and growth. They graduated college, travelled and moved across the country, and grew in their faith together. Through these shared experiences (and many more), Katie and Adrian quickly realized they wanted to build a life together. They can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you and establish this date as their "forever anniversary".
