The suggested dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire. However, it is most important to us that our guests be comfortable and have a good time, so don't wear something that makes you miserably itchy just because it looks good! LADIES TAKE NOTE: Our venue is a historic building and with that comes some fairly steep stairs, so maybe think twice before you put on those 5" platform stilettos, just sayin'.
Our ceremony will take place on the 2nd floor of the Historic Space at the Stanley, located on the southwest corner of 3rd & Douglas in downtown Lee's Summit. The reception will directly follow in the same building - we'll head downstairs for dinner and dancing will happen later back upstairs.
Downtown Lee's Summit has several public parking lots, a free parking garage, and street parking available. You are free to park on the street on weekends with no time limit. For more details about parking locations, please visit http://downtownls.org/free-parking/.
Following the ceremony, head downstairs and grab a refreshment. The bride and groom will stay behind for a few moments with their extended families for photos before joining the party downstairs. Don't worry, you won't have to wait long for the food, we're taking care of 90% of the photos before the ceremony!
Yes! We will serve a buffet dinner of Italian food shortly after the ceremony. If you have a food allergy or medical dietary restriction, please let us know. We will do our best to accommodate you (and if for some reason we can't, we will give you a heads up).
A selection of water, tea, lemonade, beer and wine will be available directly following the ceremony and throughout dinner. After dinner, a full bar will open upstairs and the celebration will continue!
